What people come to me with
You don’t need a diagnosis or the right words. “Something is off” is a fine place to start.

There is water and tissues. Nobody expects you to cry, but it’s fine if you do.
Hi, I’m Clara
I’ve worked as a psychotherapist for twelve years, first in a hospital in Porto and now in my own practice.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, two approaches with strong research behind them. In practice that means we talk, and we also try small, concrete things between sessions.
I work in English and Portuguese, and many of my clients are people who moved to Portugal and are building a life far from home.
